Oh, hey there stranger. It feels like it’s been a moment since the last time I posted on this blog and although I never forgot about you, I do feel like I owe some sort of explanation. Apart from the fact that I was feeling under the weather with the flu for two weeks, the simultaneous rush of holiday mayhem (which I am still grateful for nonetheless) and lingering pressure to move forward career-wise, the past few weeks have been quite a critical time period for me. My cold forced me to press pause and take a deep breath. I won’t go into much detail, but I took this much needed down-time to really look inward to turn a few incomplete chapters of my past that I was previously never able to sum up the courage to face for years. For what felt like an eternity, I had hit a brick wall I felt I couldn’t get past no matter what and how hard I tried. But with a strong support system, I dare say that nothing is insurmountable and I guess you could say I finally had my brick-through (ahaha, I really can’t resist a bad pun)?
With some of these issues finally behind me along with the laughter and joys with friends and family that come with warm holiday celebrations, I am finally feeling like myself again. Not to mention, I received some fabulous gifts (thank you Jennie Bui and family!) including both books written by superstar style blogger, Aimee Song. I have been following her platform for years and have always admired her relaxed bohemian and chill aesthetic. I’m only a few chapters into both books but it has already shed some light on how I want to move forward with my blog. Let’s just say I am feeling more inspired now than ever before, and I plan on pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone and having even more fun with my posts. Stay tuned for the ride and I hope you all had an amazing holiday full of love, warm feelings and gratitude because I know I did!
This outfit is gorgeous and the rustic colours compliment your skin tone so well!
