Happy New Year and cheers to a new decade – what a ride its been! What did everyone get up to? For me, it was a relaxing night spent with a few of my long-time friends along with the merriments of wine, charcuterie, and pizza. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way (other than with Jax’s company of course). After a night of celebrations, I spent the following day next to a cup of piping hot tea, writing up a reflection for the previous year and a plan for the year to come (does anyone else enjoy doing this? If anyone is interested, I used this guided journal here that I learned about from a coworker: https://yearcompass.com).

2019 was a year of incredibly tough challenges and lessons, and along with those, many growing pains and moments of shedding armours and embracing absolute vulnerability. Looking back though, I wouldn’t have had it any other way as I have come out the other side feeling transformed yet changed in subtle ways.

On another note, I’ve come to notice lately that I’ve been unconsciously gravitating towards wearing all kinds of shades of blue, and thankfully, this isn’t an accurate representation of how I’m feeling inside. Quite the opposite, really! Perhaps I should try wearing more yellow to reflect how I really feel because I can’t help but be filled with an overwhelming sense of warmth, gratitude and excitement for the year to come. Let’s cheer each other forward and build up the courage to be bold in facing our fears and chasing our dreams. What are some of your aspirations this year?
